Tisch EINS

For my shared flat I was looking for a large dining and working table. Tisch EINS is designed as a multi purpose table. Measuring 1,2m x 2,0m the table is big enough for a 6 person dinner. When used as a studio and working space the table is large enough to lay down an A0 layout veritcally, making it perfect for sketching and checking plans.

The simple steel frame is made from 30x30mm square tube. The rectangular side panels sit flush with the wooden plate on top. In between three support beams overstretch the two meter wide frame length of the table, offset from the edge. On top of the steel frame a 2cm thick multiplex wooden board completes the construction. Sanded and painted it has a smooth and easy to clean surface.

The construction is disassemblable in 5 minutes.
